2. Information we collect

Newsletter signup form

The form on the landing page lets you stay informed about FUYEZ publications. It is entirely optional. When you fill it out, we collect:

  • your email address;
  • the answers you provide (perceived pressure, situation, horizon, approximate location).

Creator authentication

If you access the creator portal, we collect:

  • your email address and, if you use Google, your name and Google user identifier;
  • session data (signed tokens) stored in secure cookies.

Third-party platform connections

When you connect your YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account, we store:

  • the OAuth access and refresh tokens provided by the platform;
  • your account identifier and public channel or username;

Technical data

We log minimal technical data necessary to operate and secure the Site, such as IP address, browser type and request timestamps.

3. Purposes

We use your information to:

  • provide and improve the Site, including the news feed and creator portal;

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent (signup form, creator sign-in, platform connection), on the performance of our services when you use the creator portal, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share certain data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the Site:

6. Use of third-party platform data

When you connect a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account, we only access the public information necessary to display your videos in the FUYEZ news feed. We do not access private messages, follower lists or anything beyond what the requested OAuth scopes cover. Your access tokens are stored encrypted and used only to periodically refresh the public metadata of your videos.

10. Automated decision-making

FUYEZ does not make any decision based solely on automated processing of your personal information that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you. The AI tool we use (DeepSeek) only assists with internal editorial writing and does not evaluate users or their requests.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from loss, theft and unauthorized access: encryption in transit (TLS), database isolation, access control via signed tokens and regular secret rotation. In the event of a security incident presenting a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the competent authorities as required by Law 25 and PIPEDA. No system is, however, entirely infallible.
