Terms of Service

Welcome to FUYEZ. (the Site). These Terms of Service (theTerms) govern your access to and use of the Site, including the creator portal and related features. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Service description

FUYEZ. is an information project based in Quebec. Its goal is to help make sense of day-to-day economic pressure — prices, wages, taxation, cost of living — without promising miracle solutions or taking a political stance.

The Site offers:

  • a landing page and an optional form to receive informational emails;
  • a bilingual news feed (French and English) that publishes articles and aggregates public videos from partner creators on third-party platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram;
  • a portal that allows authorized creators to connect their accounts and manage the automatic publication of their videos in the news feed.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Creator accounts

Access to the creator portal is reserved for individuals expressly authorized by FUYEZ. Authentication is performed via magic-link email or Google sign-in. You are responsible for the confidentiality of the email address and Google account used to sign in. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Third-party platform connections

By connecting your YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account to the creator portal, you authorize FUYEZ to access certain public information associated with your account (username, profile picture, list and metadata of your public videos) and to display this information in the FUYEZ news feed. You can revoke this access at any time from the creator portal or directly in the settings of the relevant platform.

Your use of YouTube, TikTok and Instagram remains subject to those platforms’ own terms of service and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. FUYEZ is not affiliated with these platforms.

5. Content

Content published by FUYEZ is owned by or licensed to FUYEZ. Videos displayed in the news feed remain the property of their respective creators and are displayed through the official application programming interfaces of the third-party platforms. You retain all rights in your own content.

6. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, servers or data;
  • disrupt the Site, introduce malware, or overload our servers;
  • reproduce, copy or scrape content from the Site in an automated manner without our written permission;
  • circumvent security or authentication measures.

7. Intellectual property

The FUYEZ brand, name, logo and original content are protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable laws. No license is granted to you other than the one necessary to view the Site for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided as is and as available, without any express or implied warranty. FUYEZ does not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure or accurate. Information published does not constitute financial, legal or tax advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FUYEZ and its collaborators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FUYEZ harmless from any third-party claims arising from your use of the Site or any violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or the creator portal at any time without notice, in particular if you fail to comply with these Terms. You may also stop using the Site at any time.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page, with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws in force in the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
